Concentration, chemical form, purity, traceability: our guide to getting it right.
1. Check the actual EPA and DHA dose
A 1000 mg bottle of fish oil does not contain 1000 mg of Omega 3. Look for the combined EPA and DHA dose, ideally above 500 mg per serving.
At Tarout, each Arctic Repair® stick delivers 660 mg EPA and 440 mg DHA — a concentration above 70%.
2. Prefer the triglyceride (rTG) form
Omega 3 comes in three main forms: natural triglyceride, ethyl ester and re-esterified triglyceride (rTG). The latter offers the best absorption according to bioavailability studies.
Always ask your pharmacist for the chemical form: it is a more reliable quality indicator than price.
3. Ask for purity certificates
Fish can accumulate heavy metals. Molecular distillation and a batch certificate of analysis guarantee a safe product.
We share our independent laboratory reports on request.
4. Check the fishing traceability
Responsible fishing in certified cold waters guarantees a richer oil and a controlled environmental footprint.
